Women in Open Science Hardware Workshop

The event seeks to expose young women to resources in open science hardware and how they take advantage of these resources to make life better.

It will be a day workshop which incorporates introductory lecture in open science resources, demonstration of basic Arduino hardware and software techniques, demonstration of how a 3-D printer prints parts of an instrument. Also, the young women will be introduced to documentation as well as demonstration of how basic equipment such as centrifuge, Actimeter, incubator could be made using open hardware resources.

The young women who will develop interest will be further trained to acquire the skills of building their own instruments.
